1A. Never let a horse stand still while sweating, it will catch a cold. After exercise, always walk it off, then use a sweat scraper and brush with straw or cloth.
2A and B. If you usually ride in a field or soft underground it is not strictly necessary to shoe him. When riding on hard surfaces, shoe your horse.
3A and B. Never enter the ear with your scissors, this can cause serious damage. Gently fold the two long edges of the ear together, the hair that sticks out between the edges can be carefully cut away.
4A If you mean clipping the horse, aka shaving his coat, do it in summer. His coat will not be as full so its easier and it will be nice and cool for the horse.

The right answers aren't all in your multiple choice questions
1.Your horse is sweating. You can:
Let it dry in the wind
Brush it with any good stiff brush
Let it roll
Let it rest a while
Hot days you can hose it down
2 A horse must be shoed.
Depends on the condition of its hooves and what you do with him
We never shoe the back feet on ours fronts only
Horses that pull off their shoes can hurt their feet so no shoes for them
3 When cleaning and grooming a horse, is it important to cut the hair inside the horse's ears.
Only if it鈥檚 full hair
4 What is the best season for cutting horses' hair?
Never cut a horses hair it鈥檚 not a dog, only trim when they need, and a trim doesn鈥檛 matter when.
Autumn and winter is the worst time because the horse is growing a winter coat. I you don't want a winter coat because you show in the winter then blanket the horse. It will retard the growth.

3.False- you shouldn't any part of the horses coat- unless clipping it in the winter.
4.When you say 'hair' do you mean coat or mane/tail? If you mean coat then at the beginning of winter, o the horses thick winter coat doesn't get to sweaty, but if you mean mane or tail, then any time.

1. A horse should never be put away sweating! He/she should be walked out till dry. If done otherwise he/she can get sick!
2. A horse does not have to be shoed. It can effect thier feet though if you ride on rougher terrain. And even if you don't have your horse shoed you must still maintain there feet with getting them trimmed and cleaning them out.
3. It is not really important to cut the hair in the ears, but it does help if you are showing or something like that, it just helps them look a little more put together.
4. You can cut the horses hair when ever you so choose, but if it is in the colder months you will want to blanket them since thier natural warmth cover will not be there.
5.It is to help make it more comfortable, to help absorb urine, and to help cut down on bacteria growth and it is easier to clean the stall out. It also will help provide some warmth in th cold months.
6. You use it to brush of the excess dripping sweat from your horses coat.
7. Answer B and D are the same since a mare is a horse. But yes.
8. It really depends on your horses feet and what condition they are in.
