How much??

How much does it normally run (on average) to have a mare artifically inseminated with cooled shipped semen?
Answers:
Well you have the stud fee and booking fee. Some places charge a collection fee. You would have to ask. The shipping fee and the container deposit (normally $30). Once you have paid the stud/booking fee you don't have to pay those again or the container fee if returned. But if the mare does not take the first time you would have to pay the collection and shipping fee again. You have to pay the vet for board if the mare stays there and for the ultrasound ($30 here in Oklahoma) and then for the AI itself. Ask anyone that AI and they will tell you to prepare for having to try 3 times to get a mare to settle.
I don't know that there is an average price. You still have to pay the normal stud fee, shipping charges, vet visit, etc. All of those costs vary depending on the stud, shipping method used, individual vet, etc. It's not cheap.
If you are talking about the vet's fees for inseminating, it runs between 150 and 300 dollars. Sometimes it can be more depending on how much your mare has to be drugged or if she has to be inseminated more than once.
It depends on the stud fee
Then you have the vet's fee
There is also usually a container fee
I know my mother who breeds Quarter Horses usually spends close to a thousand when all is said and done.
