I am wanting to show my poa in showmanship, can anyone tell me how I know she is pivoting right?

Answers:
A correct pivot is when the horse locks the inside rear leg and turns around it stepping over in front. For example, you always turn a horse AWAY from you in showmanship. So, you step toward the horse's shoulder (to your right) and the horse turn in place to the right by crossing his left foreleg over the right forleg, lock the right rear leg in place, and step under and around with the left rear leg.
That probably wasn't real clear-- here's a link that explains it better!~

The lady before me, Beth K, answered you properly on how to pivot. You turn your horse away from you at all times, and since you always lead on the left that means your horse always turns to the right. They are to pivot on their back right foot, crossing the left front foot in front of the right.
A common mistake handlers often make is trying to shove the horse's head to the right instead of having them turn with their body straight. If the horse bends to the right they cannot pivot properly.
I really recommend an excellent book called "Understanding Showmanship" by Laurie Truskauskas. The book costs over $20 new, but you probably can find it on eBay or Abe Books for less money. It covers everything from teaching your horse to set up, pivot, how to dress yourself, how to clean and band your horse. The chapter on teaching the maneuvers shows you photos of teaching your horse the pivot, I found it helpful. The same author has a small, condensed version of this book which costs only about $10, but it doesn't have as much info, of course.
The key to winning in showmanship is practice, practice, practice. If possible get someone to watch you as it can be hard to clearly see how your horse is pivoting when you're standing right besides him! Most trainers suggest you spend 60 days working on the maneuvers. This is a long time, but of course you're only putting in 10 minutes or so a day so it does go by quickly!
Good luck and have fun.
When you pivot one of the horses hind feet should stay in the same spot and the front legs should cross over (Left over right)
IF you live in hood river there is a horse show up in parkdale Oregon. it will show you how .
